Kasey is currently working as a Performance Dietitian at Davis Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, AZ. She is an accomplished dietitian with over a decade of experience working in community nutrition programs, clinics and tech startups. Previously, she worked at a world-renowned health and fitness resort, working with athletes of all ages and abilities to implement evidence-based nutrition strategies tailored to each individual’s physiological and metabolic needs. As a Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD) and Integrative and Functional Nutrition Certified Practitioner (IFNCP), she specializes in optimizing performance and recovery for athletes while promoting holistic well-being. A lifelong athlete herself, completing over 100 half-marathons and 6 full marathons, and a busy mom, she understands the need for realistic, credible nutrition guidance. She believes better health comes from daily practice, not perfection and gimmicky fads.

Joined the Health Promotion team on Davis-Monthan AFB in 2009 after finishing graduate school at the University of Arizona. Prior to joining the DM team, Lana worked in a non-profit organization for six years as a Diabetes Prevention Educator in Tucson.
Growing up in a small community within the Navajo Nation, she was fortunate to experience farm life and a connection with her indigenous community. Her goal is to harmonize a holistic approach with a blend of evidence-based strategies. Her education allows flexibility to work in all areas of health promotion and prevention of disease. The range of services include but not limited to tobacco cessation counseling, nutrition demonstrations, community outreach, resilience trainings, community wellness collaborations, program planning, research, etc. Lana most enjoys spending time with family, reading, gardening and any outdoor activity.
